Kick off your spring season in stride with a healthier and more vibrant you. Here are some simple detox practices you can start today!
CLEANSE YOUR SPACE
Getting rid of clutter feels amazing. Tackle one room weekly and reorganize your space. Deep clean where needed and donate what you no longer use. If you have a hard time making decisions on what to keep, ask yourself: Have I used this in the last 6 months? Does it bring me joy? If the answer is no, perhaps it’s time to let it go.
HYDRATE
Daily water intake is essential for our bodies to function efficiently. Water plays a critical role to optimize your organs functionality while flushing toxins and waste from the body, and transport nutrients to where they are needed. Try drinking water upon waking (before you reach for coffee), and sip on water throughout the entire day.
LYMPH LOVE
Get your lymphatic system moving by dry brushing your skin before your morning shower. It takes just a few minutes and feels amazing.
GOODBYE INFLAMMATORY JUNK
Kick processed foods and refined carbohydrates to the curb. This change alone will be felt within days. It might be challenging at first, but it’s worth it.
EAT THE RAINBOW
Fill your plate with whole foods and veggies! Read labels and dial-in on what you’re putting in your body. The way you fuel yourself is so important!
MOVE YO’ BODY!
What gets you moving? Find something you enjoy and stick to it. For best success, block your movement/workout sessions into your calendar three times per week. Maybe even get moving right now?
MAKE YOUR ZZZZZ’S TOP PRIORITY
Sleep is essential for the body to repair itself on so many levels. Sleep affects many functions of the body including cellular restoration, hormone balancing, brain function, emotional well-being, weight maintenance, immunity, heart health and more. Set your bed time and commit to it. Put down the screens at least one hour before you sleep for best rest practices.
TAKE TEN
Make time for self-care every day. Self-care comes in many forms, but the key is in the consistency. Commit to a non-negotiable minimum of ten minutes daily. It could be a simple morning journal session where you write down things you’re grateful for, sitting in silence while allowing your breath to guide you, reading a book you’ve been meaning to make time for, or whatever you wish — just make it happen — for you!
GET OUTSIDE + UNPLUG
In a world of fast paced technology, it’s important to unplug and get into nature. The health benefits of nature are plentiful and include stress relief, strengthened immunity, a calmed mind, sharpened focus and increased longevity. Get outside, unplug and play — your mind and body will thank you for it later.
