6 Fun Ways to Live a Healthier Lifestyle

Some may say that being healthy isn’t fun - but they’re just not doing it right. Leading a healthy lifestyle can, in fact, be a ton of fun! There are numerous ways you can add healthy habits into your daily routine that may feel simple but make a big difference. Check out the following 6 healthy habits that are fun to add into your routine:

Take 30 minutes to move your body
Try to move your body at least 30 minutes every day, in some shape or form. Taking this time is proven to help reduce stress, boost your mood, lose weight, increase energy, improve overall health, and more.

Spend time outside
Getting fresh air and vitamin D is proven to boost your mood and improve your immune system. Make it fun - read a book outside, eat a meal on your porch, work in the garden, or even go on a walk to get in your 30 minutes of movement.

Meaningful social interactions
Social interaction is so important, it’s a great way for us to learn, grow, and bond with others that we care about. When you do have these social interactions, however, ensure that they’re healthy. Watch out for negativity, gossiping, or complaining. Instead, focus on having productive and meaningful conversations and truly listening to and learning from those that you’re around. Pair this with the two above - go on a walk outside with friends to kill 3 birds with one stone and have tons of fun.

Stay hydrated
Health experts recommend drinking a minimum of 64 ounces (2 liters) of water per day. If you’re exercising and sweating during the day, it is recommended to drink even more than that amount of water. For extra replenishment and a little extra flavor, try adding electrolyte tablets to your water, such as Nuun Hydration Tablets.

Keep your brain stimulated
Reading books, listening to podcasts, or watching educational documentaries are a great way to relax yet keep your brain stimulated. Personal development books by authors such as Eckhart Tolle and Tony Robbins or podcasts such as The Brendon Show are great places to start.

Meditate
Take at least 5 minutes to meditate every day to allow your mind to reset. This is proven to increase self-awareness, reduce stress and increase calmness, increasing ability to be present and patient, and much more. Not sure where to start? There are many types of meditation, so try out each and see what works best for you.
