I had the pleasure of meeting with Jessica Fein last week during Farmfest, our first Shindig at the Buddha Farm, in Fort Lauderdale, FL. At the end of the night, Jessica serenaded us with singing and guitar. Want to know more about Jessica?
Q: Where are you from?
A: I was born in New York. I grew up in Miami. But I lived in Boulder, CO for a decade. So I have been lucky to have had many different experiences living in many different areas.
Q: How old are you?
A: 29 years old.
Q: What do you do for a living?
A: I am a singer, private voice teacher, yoga teacher, and I teach online voice lessons. I tend to work with people who are on a spiritual path to strengthen their singing skills.
Q: What type of music do you play?
A: Soulful blues inspired conscious music. Written with the intention of waking people up and inspiring them to make change in the world.
Q: How long have you been singing?
A: My entire life! When I was 3 years old I sang at my temple. Once I was 5 years old I started taking professional lessons and continued all through college.
Q: Who are your favorite musicians?
A: Erykah Badu, Rising Appalachia and Murray Kyle
Q: What do you do for fun?
A: I love to go on road trips, take new adventures. Go to music and yoga festivals. And of course serenade strangers!
Q: Can your fans expect an album release coming soon?
A: Yes, I am recording an EP album this summer 2017. I am aiming for it to be released in August, so stay tuned!
